It all started with a frustration.
A simple, human frustration — one shared by thousands of owners and tenants across Switzerland: a blocked, frozen housing market, where people are afraid to sell before they’ve found something new, where they hesitate, where they wait… sometimes for years. A market where prices rise, competition intensifies, and everything feels like it has become unnecessarily complex.
David and Damaris, two real estate enthusiasts like you rarely meet. For a long time, we searched for an answer. We spoke with families, retirees, young couples, investors… Different stories — but the same question kept coming back, again and again:
“Why is it so hard to find a new home?”
One day, almost by accident, the answer appeared. It wasn’t new, and it wasn’t technological — it had simply been forgotten. It had been there for a long time, quietly written into Swiss law: property exchange (CO art. 237–238).
Two owners, two properties, a clear agreement. No bidding wars, no race for the highest price — just a logical, fair, deeply human exchange.
That’s when we understood: exchange wasn’t an alternative — it was a powerful solution. A way to unlock a frozen market, strengthen purchasing power without pushing prices up, give control back to owners, simplify life transitions, and open the door to a parallel market — discreet, and more equitable.
Very quickly, others joined us: owners and tenants from all over Switzerland, driven by the same desire to take control of their housing future again. Over time, this community became far more than a group of users: a movement — sometimes even a small family — united by respect, transparency, curiosity, trust, and good spirit.
Today, Immoswitch grows every day.
And tomorrow?
